Local Darts

A big part of what The Darts Hole is about is being useful to the local darts community.

I'm very thankful that, when I was starting out, I was asked to come along to the Banbury Darts League events at the end of each month at General Foods Social Club. A year on, I'm still there, running the pop-up shop alongside the competitions.

The Banbury Darts League plays on Wednesday nights, with divisions for all abilities in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

The end-of-month competitions give the whole league a chance to come together. Each month has a different format, with players competing through to and including the semi-finals. The season then culminates in the finals night, with the finalists playing the final up on stage, walk-ons and all.

The pop-ups give players the chance to pick up the essentials they need on the night, from flights and stems to other accessories. There's also a repointing service and, perhaps most importantly, the chance to get hands-on with the range of darts The Darts Hole offers and try them before buying.

I try to bring a different selection of darts along each month, so there's always something new to have a look at and try. As The Darts Hole continues to grow, hopefully so will the range of products I can bring along with me.

It's not just the Banbury Darts League either. There are also ADC-sanctioned Vault events, held at both St John's Social Club on Tuesday nights and Danny's Bar on Friday nights.

These are solo round-robin competitions, so everyone gets a number of games each night, with cash prizes for those who make it through to the later stages.
